Availability of Full Membership

There are three important factors affecting the availability of Full Membership. The first two are conditions of the club's affiliation agreement with Monash University.

(1) Monash Uni Tennis Club full membership is generally only available to players representing the club in weekend competition teams for at least one season each year.

A limited number of full memberships may be offered to players of weekend competition standard at the discretion of the club committee.
These players must have played Seniors Pennant, Seniors Weekend Competitions or above.
These players may have also come through the Social Competition Grades/Gradings.

(2) At least 80% of club members must be Monash students, Monash staff or Monash graduates.

(3) With limited time on courts, the club can accommodate only about 80 full members.

Unfortunately this means that the club cannot sign up too many new full members each year and must reject many applications. We do not have room for the hundreds of players wanting only casual tennis and we also cannot guarantee full membership for every player wanting to play weekend competition.

For more information on competition and the selection process, please refer to frequently asked questions about competition.

Full members may practice at club training nights (Wed 6.30-8.30pm) and also receive a 50% discount (off non-student prices) on individual tennis court bookings.
Membership includes registration with Tennis Victoria which provides insurance and other benefits.

Membership Fees
Full Membership fees for the year Sep 1, 2017 to Aug 31, 2018 are:
Monash students $68 ($34 pro-rata)
